1. You on Windows 10 or 11? Also need Windows full build number. Use Winver.exe
2. Fences 5 full version number.
3. Have you tried reboot the system after installation finished?

3.Yes, i tyied reboot the system after installation finished. Moreover, I have re-uninstalled, tried again to install, and restarted again, and the result is still like now.

Thank you, those information were the one I am asking for. Maybe there is another application running which is conflicting with Fences. Please try cleanboot, follow these steps: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1332445272/Fences+Clean+Boot. Try it and report back.

Hi, I am very glad that you have provided a solution. The previous problem didn't occur when I used it that day, but when I opened the computer this morning, it returned to the original situation, I don't know if it's because my computer has too much software, which leads to incompatibility.

Hi, same problems here, the change of resolution do not work anymore, very disappointing, I rolled back to 5.04 version.

May be i use 5.04 version, too. Otherwise it will affect the work

Sometimes the computer pops up with this warning, I don't know what it means, what does explorer mean?

I am not sure, infoPAF issue is the same as yours.

That shows your Windows Explorer.exe keep crashing, shows that something is running which causing conflict with Fences. Did you try Cleanboot as I mentioned in my reply#4?

Hi, Thanks for your help, I think I've solved my problem, i test it in Sandbox, and also i renamed the shortcut folder, half a day passed, and no exception popped out, maybe it is OK.

emm, i have some desktop partition,  i use folder portal, However, some folders are presented as shortcuts on the desktop, And the folders for these shortcuts are named after the original files, so I renamed the file names, I don't know if you can understand

My issue is this:

I'm using fences with different monitor resolutions, and the option to save layout fences per resolution active.

The problem is the last update do not rearrange the correct fences layout when I change monitor resolution, this is very annoing.
