taskbar overlaping with Hyper V Machine

Hello,

I think I found bug, on my laptop I am running Hyper V VM Win 11 (to isolate customer sofware). Perriodially if I switch from the Win 11 installed on laptop to FullScreem Hyper V Win 11. The Start11 taskbar stays active an overlap the VM task task bar. Minimize VM Window and switch back, to not help, just resize from the full screen and then maximize VM Window.

Thank you for the help

Hi,

Host: Single screen notebook, Win 11 + Start11

- Start 11 conf attached. Some parts with private data are removed, and there is "tag": ****Content*Removed****

Guest: Hyper V, Windows 11, No Start 11 (clear installation)

"funny" is that this not happen all times, but try to reporoduce

1) Open Hyper V VM Win 11 and maximize

2) Minimize Hyper V VM Win 11

3) Click on on Host Win11 task bar app (minimized Hyper V VM) to restore app, and do no move with "mouse"

3a) If it won happe, try it several times

3b) if it happen (overlaping) , click again on Host Winn11 - Hyper V VM, to disappear the overlaped task bar.

Configuration:

In Short, all Star11 functionalities are disabled (Start Menu, Search), expect Task Bar, where I use small task bar size and do not group app.

I tested again, but, still can not reproduce your issue. However, I have forwarded your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

Need to know few more details on your system.

  1. Windows 11 full version number, build number. Use Winver.exe
  2. Start11 full version number.

Thanks

On average, how many times is 'several times'?  How often do you see this (once a day, once a week, etc)?

Also, if Windows Explorer is restarted on the host PC, does it resolve the issue?

I also see that you have Total Commander running... Are you using it as a File Explorer replacement?

On average, how many times is 'several times'?  How often do you see this (once a day, once a week, etc)? 5 from 10

Also, if Windows Explorer is restarted on the host PC, does it resolve the issue? - NO

I also see that you have Total Commander running... Are you using it as a File Explorer replacement? - No, just runs the TC, no special integration, does not have effect if runs or not

Also Removed the BitDefender AV, no effect

I have second laptop (same Elitebook 845 g8), same behvior, maybe some HP App affecting (Removed what is possible), with no positive result.

I just used to live with it, at home I have second monitor where I runs VM (so there is no issue). If I work only on laptop screen only for longer time, I just disable Start11 taskbar :)
