get license expired when it's good

can't run Fences

I have a valid license for Fences 5. For some reason whenever I try to move an icon on the desktop Fences 5 popup says my license has expired. When I put my license in it's accepted as good but at the next try to move an icon the "license has expired" comes up again.

I've tried downloading the latest version and re-installing it with no luck.

This is driving me crazy, help please.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Thank you,

What a lot of nonsense to get a program working. I did download the latest version and re-install it with no changes. I am not going to do all the steps you demand, I'll just uninstall it and not use Fences, too bad it was sort of neat.

I have the same issue. I suspect that I deleted an important Stardock folder somewhere, and now Fences asks for a product key whenever I cold reboot my machine. I enter the key, all works well, but at the next restart Fences is orphaned again.

I'll try to uninstall, reboot, reinstall, reboot. Will let you know

Not to worry; the uninstall - reboot - reinstall - reboot sequence worked to get Fences 5 to remember its license. I must have deleted something important without realizing.
