Why re-purchase

I was wondering if there are any start 11 owners here and what are your thoughts on having to purchase an upgrade to the lastest version if you already own start 11? If we already have access to all the features of start 11 why are we having to purchase an upgrade? Please let me know. Thanks!!!

Start11v2 is a major upgrade to Start11 and well worth the money if you use your start menu extensively. I have over 200 shortcuts on one page in Start11v2 thanks to a new feature called TABS. See below.

I could understand the gripes of paying more if buying the upgrade is at full cost but Stardock is offering a massive discount when upgrading. It’s like almost 75% off the regular price. That’s unheard of in most situations.
