Object Destkop Support Ended 2017
I purchased Object Desktop in March 19 2024!
I purchased Object Desktop in March 19 2024! But my Object Desktop is saying support ended on 1/7/2017. Periodically it seems I get prompted in many of the apps like DeskScape, Start11 V2 and I must reenter the key and email. It accepts it. This is getting very old! This is a newer computer installation. I never had Object Desktop installed here before. Then it wants to be rebooted! After doing DeskScapes (w/o rebooting it pops back wanting to be authorized again.
Please tell me why I must reboot if all I have to do is to reauthorize? I shouldn't have to do any of this. I did not purchase an upgrade but the full version, so I should be being hassled with this.
I should be able to get support directly from StarDock on this. This is ridiculous that I have to put this out there on a forum.
If I didn't really need the StarDock Fences and Start11 V2 menu I would think of uninstalling this software. In the past - over the years, I would periodically get StarDock, only to uninstall it at some point. This is probably the first time where I felt it really offered me something that I didn't eventually get a Windows X update to fix some bad Microsoft design stuff. So its more important now that I get this fixed.
I dont really DeskScapes so I uninstalled it.
Now my worst problem is that Start11 v2 will not stay authorized
Fences seems ok.
I am supposed to be able to use this software more than a year after I purchased it - but with no upgrades. So it should be trying to get me to uninstall the software!
I care most about Fences and Start11 V2 and Start10 the most. I could care less about a lot of this other stuff. I would like to be able to use SpaceMonger as well and maybe Multiplicity. I guess it would be wise to uninstall all StarDoc Object Desktop apps I don't really need.
I lost my Start11V2 menu! I cant keep it running even though I reauthorize Start11V2 and it accepts it. I am a busy person. I don't have time to deal with this junky software. You guys need to start thinking of your customers if you cant get your copy protection to work right. Who is to protect the customer from you?
