Start11

Taskbar Notification Area

Recently changed from Win10 to Win11 and am using Star11 to put taskbar at top of screen. Everything is fine except in the notification area on the right side of the taskbar. I have all my required icons lined up nicely on the LEFT side of the taskbar (centered vertically and spaced nicely) but no matter what I do in Start11 ---- the icons in the notification area DO NOT change. They are there (along with time and date) but are very small (much less than the icons on the left side of the taskbar) and hugging the top of the taskbar. It does not seem to matter what I do in Start11; these icons and information just remain very small and "stuck" to the top of the taskbar. Any help most appreciated.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Not really sure your issue here. I believe this is normal behavior for Windows taskbar, with or without Start11. The taskbar tray with all its icons, clock and notification icon will always be on the right side of the taskbar and its size will be different than those on the taskbar itself. Unless you are talking about something else. If you do, please post some screenshot so we can understand the issue better.

Thank you.

No; it just inconvenient....I guess I will just have to learn to live with it. Did not have this under Win10. I do notice that in win11 the task bar does go across the entire screen whereas I think in win10 there was a demarcation between the taskbar and the notification area which may have made this a non-issue back then. Again; thanks for the response!

I am on Windows 10, and I see the same behavior on my Windows 10

Below is my screenshot of my Windows 10 taskbar with Start11 on it

If I could get mine to look like yours -- all would be great. I think your screen shot shows exactly what I am looking for -- the icons and information in the notification area  are on the same horizontal plane as the other icons to the left. I cannot seem to make "print screen" work for me in Win11 or I would include it here. Anyway; my notification area information is above the horizontal plane that the icons to the left are on. The left side icons are vertically centered on the taskbar and the notification area icons are along the top edge of the taskbar with the Time actually only showing the bottom half of the digits. Not the end of the world; just trying to make things look good. I truly appreciate your input and am not trying to be difficult here.

You can use Windows own "Snipping tool" should be included in your Windows 10 or 11 system.

This looks like the "Taskbar touch mode detection" issue.

Is this a touch screen?

Try changing this Start11v2 Taskbar setting to "Force touch mode device" or "Force not touch mode device."

No it is an Hp laptop --17"  non-touchscreen. I have looked all over the Start11 app and do not find anything like "Force touch mode device" or "Force not touch mode device."
