Start11 on ARM (Object Desktop Insider)

Hello folks, first we are very grateful that we finally have Start11 for Windows on ARM and I am one of the insiders.

I realize that changing an icon on start menu to a custom image (png, jpg, etc) is not working. Flashing / refreshing the start menu for a second but icon change doesn't take place.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please share more information on your system.

  1. Windows full version numbers. Use Winver.exe
  2. Start11v2 version numbers.

Thank you.

Hello Basj,

Windows: Windows 11 Pro, 23H2 OS Build: 22631.3520
Start11 v2: 2.07

Icon image change for Start11 on Intel platform works fine. I am facing this issue specifically on ARM platform, with newly introduced Start11 for ARM through Object Desktop Insider.

Look like you on Windows insider release, yes? If so, do know that Stardock does not support its product on Windows insider version. However, I have forwarded your problem to Stardock Support Team for their review. We appreciate your feedback.

Thanks

Thank you for your help and escalation.

Object Desktop insider is not for Windows insider. Its for Stardock Alpha/Beta release.

Hello Bash, Last week I left the Windows Insider program and back to public cadence of Windows 11. Unfortunately, not being able to change the icon tile image issue still present on Start11 ARM. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated! Thanks...

Great, please try this, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately, re-download latest version from your product page, install it, reboot immediately again, retest and report back.

Thank you,
