Taskbar will not unhide when MS Edge browser is open full screen

Taskbar will not unhide when screens are open in full screen mode

I have Start 11 V.2 .07 configured to autohide the taskbar.  It works fine except when MS Edge Browser is open full screen.  Any other application in full screen will allow the taskbar to reappear when mousing over the bottom of the screen.  The only way I can get the taskbar to reappear when using the Edge browser is to either hit the windows key or reduce the size of the edge window so that there is a little amount of space on the bottom of the screen so that I can mouse over to get the task bar to appear.

If I turn the setting off in Start 11 and just use the native autohide feature of windows 11 I do not experience this issue.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know your Windows 11 full version number. Use Winver.exe.

Thanks

Do you have always reserve space enabled in Start11?

Also by full screen do you mean f11 mode with no titlebar?

I think it is normal for this to not activate autohide taskbars as it doesn't here without Start11.

To clarify what I mean by full screen is that the application is in full screen mode - said another way by clicking on the square symbol next to the "X" close screen in the upper right of the page.

I am also noticing the same issues when Google Chrome is in full screen mode.  However, if I have excel, outlook, word or power point open in full screen mode when I mouse over to the bottom of the screen the taskbar will appear.

Note if I turn off the setting in Start11 I do not have this problem.

No I am not referring to F11 - full screen when you toggle the square object next to the "X" in the screen shot below. Same issue if you hit F11

End of frankd1044's quote

You need to enable the reserve space setting in Start11 which is under the autohide setting.

As previously noted my configuration already had the reserve space setting in the on position.  Very interesting I toggled off and on the reserve space setting and the problem mysteriously disappeared.
