Windows Recycle Bin Keeps Moving

Fences 5.0.4 + Windows 10 22H2 OS Build 19045.4170   |   Since installing Fences 5, the location of my Windows Recycle Bin icon keeps moving on start-up. I manually place it outside a Fences, at the lower left corner of my screen. Then, when I boot up, it has moved to the center of the Screen (luckily, unoccupied by a Fences, or it would be hidden). It is the only icon that I have not put inside a Fence.

This never happened with Fences 4.

How do I get it to stop in Fencws 5?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please check if you have disable Windows auto arrange desktop icons.

Thank you.

Basj - Thank you for your quick reply. Yes, both "Auto Arrange Icons" and "Align Icons to Grid" are not checked.

The only difference versus your illustration is that I am using "Medium Icons" for size, not "Classic icons" .

Easier solution is to put Recycle bin into a Fences and set that fence background to be transparent with only one icon space and hide the Fences titlebar.

Thank you,

Agree. Will do. Strange that I seem to be the only person with this problem. Perhaps Fences 5 is optimized for Windows 11, and I need to change over at some point.

I use ObjectDock 3 to accomplish this. There is a Recycle Bin Docklet which I use in a dock by itself and set the transparency to 100%. It works really well with my custom icons, and you can adjust the size.
