Wrong Icons and font using Multi Monitor with different Resolution and Scaling %

I installed Fences 5 on my notebook with windows 11Pro build 22621 where I have a 3240x2160 monitor scaled to 175% and a second 3840x2160 monitor scaled to 100%. The second monitor is set as primary.

After installing Fences 5, when I position the icons on the desktop of the external monitor set as primary, the icons and characters are not scaled at 100% and remain at 175%, while maintaining the spaces between the icons correct to be used with the 100% scale.

The result on the screen is that the icons and text are all overlapped and impossible to use (see image).

If I try to move the icons on the notebook monitor they become smaller (see image 2).

It seems that Fences 5 reverses the scaling between the two monitors, in the notebook monitor it sets a scaling of 100% instead of the one set to 175% and vice versa.

Thanks for any suggestions or help

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Try restart explorer.exe and see if the icons scale return to normal. You can use this guide on how to restart explorer.exe : https://www.howtogeek.com/198815/use-this-secret-trick-to-close-and-restart-explorerexe-in-windows/

Thank you.

Thanks for the quick reply, I tried explorer resetting,  for a moment the icons appear correct but soon after they go back wrong, I can imagine when fences takes control again.

I don't think fences control icons size and distance between each icons. I think something else is keep changing it. Please try cleanboot: https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#cleanboot. Try that and report back.

Just one thing, now when Fences is active it only shows the folders and not the program and file icons.

Is there any configuration that hides the file icons?
