Start 11 Icon Size
Icon Becomes Tiny Suddenly
When organizing icons, which is very difficult in the new version - horrible design decisions - suddenly some icons go to a very small size and there is no option to restore it. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. If I try to search for the file the icon/shortcut comes from it goes to something really moronic like System 32. Don't know the thinking or logic of Start 11 v2. Organizing the icon start menu with the new version is so bad I would never recommend this to friends. I used to, no more.
I'm not interested in organizing my games - that is worth saying because it is clear that Stardock puts a premium on games given the number of times that appears in options.
If I try to unpin something it is permanently unpinned and I have to do a program files search and create a new shortcut. At least I have bookmarked the "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Program" folder to do some original icon / shortcut organization and then try to pin things and organize them in Start 10/11. It ought to be a lot simpler to do though - the previous version was far better. FAR BETTER. The new one, it's like you don't think anyone would ever organize things to find the most important items first but be able to find anything else as well. Microsoft assumes we all know the name of every icon we might ever want to launch - a truly stupid decision in user interface design (do most people know the actual names of many of the lesser used Office items? Didn't think so). So I'm trying to get setup the way I was in 11 v1 and you're not making that easy. I took a fraction of the time to configure that, or Start 10, the first time i installed it. When I had a boot SSD failure and had to re-install all a year ago it was also not nearly so difficult.
I'm not interested in background and transparency as I am in finding the things I need to launch, well over 100.
