Icons under fences

Hi,

I'm exploring the Fences app and it's quite useful. However, there is one issue that I dislike.

Desktop icons can be placed under the areas of the fence like this:

This makes no sense to me. The fences seem to be another 'layer' than a simple desktop region.

Can you do something with this? Like having an option that 'Prevents icons from going under fences" etc?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. A work around to this is to have all new icons that go into your desktop area goes into a Fences automatically. I usually create a special Fence for it and set Fences rule for that special Fence to do just that. Something like my screenshot below.

Clarification:

My issue is a direct result of the standard Windows ability to manually move icons. So when I move icons from one fence to another and I'm not precise enough, the icon ends up in a place where it appears under the areas of the fence.

If the problem is not clear enough, I can record it.

If you turn on "Auto arrange Icons" in Windows desktop setting, that will move your icons away from under the Fences. But, if you have that turn off, than it will not move itself away from under the icon.
