SUGGESTION: Taskbar button style in Start11 v2

Let user choose from more styles than just Windows 11 and Windows 10

Hello,

I would like to make a suggestion. Currently, when buttons are combined, it is very hard (for me) to tell a combined button from a pinned button that is not in use. The only visual difference is a dot underneath a launched button (if Win11 style is used) or an ugly line (if Win10 style is used). I like how it was done in Win7: there was a frame around the button if it was launched, and if there were several windows open, a stacked frame was shown to indicate that there was actually more than one window under that button. Windows 7 would also leave some text next to the combined button (I think it was the app name, such as "Word" or "Explorer"), so one could immediately tell that this was an actual task, and not only a pinned button.

Would it be possible to let users choose some kind of Win7 styling or, perhaps, make our own styles?

I tried WindowBlinds, but it was overcomplicated and added a ton of features and customizations that I didn't need, while slowing down the entire UI. All I would like to do is decorate the taskbar buttons.

To be honest, I don't mind any other design, as long as I can immediately tell between a pinned button, an actual task, and a grouped task with several windows.

Thank you for considering this!

Also, I would like to say a huge thank you for this product. It works great and makes my Windows usable and stylish.

Happy New Year,
