fences sizes confused on windows start up

With every second windows start:

How it should look:

Fortunately, restoring a snapshot works. But it's still annoying.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Just to be clear, before your shutdown the computer. The Fences layout is like your screenshot no2. And, if you reboot the computer it will automatically arrange itself and look like your first screenshot? This is on Single monitor or dual monitor that stitch together by nvidia surround?

when shutting down, the layout is as it should be / restored / like #2

After reboot, it looks #1, but not always. Let's say it's 50/50.

It's a single monitor.

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

I purged and reinstalled as described. The previously installed version was the latest version from my account (4.21).  This morning my fences are messed up again.
