Since I reformatted my PC.
Fences has not been working. It will not allow me to create fences on desktop.
When I draw a rectangle on desktop, not happens.
Please advice.

Maybe Feces is locked? Right click on your desktop and locate this and uncheck it:
When I right click and go to views I don't have the option to "lock fences". That doesn't even come up.
When I right click, the first thing that shows up is "Enable Fences". But it does not do anything when clicked on.

I am using windows 10.
I read the thread. nothing applies.
Note this used to work on my PC. It does not working anymore after a reformat. Is it possible there are some prerequisite software required? I have installed all of the windows updates. I have install .NET as well. What is missing?
Need to be clear, what do you mean by nothing applies? In your task manager Startup section, are Fences listed in there? Does it listed twice? Does it enable on both of Fences instances?

Great, thank you for that. To ensure Fences is properly install. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

The version I am using is Fences 4. I believe the latest version is 5. My key will not work with version 5.
Do you mean download the latest version of 4?
