Taskbar Textures - Image Criteria

Images

I am having difficulty creating custom taskbar textures in Start11, and wanted to know if there is an easy way to do this?  Ideally, I would like to preserve the image integrity in the taskbar and ensure that it fits.  I have tried a variety of image sizes, but haven't figured out if there is a standard size that works? I prefer that the image not be stretched to fit etc....

Could you please let me know if there is a standard image size, or if there is a specific criteria needed in regards to the image so that this works? Thanks in advance for the help!

Hello,
I am not really sure, but, I think you can try to design the taskbar texture to be as wide as the monitor and as tall as your taskbar height. So if your monitor be 1920x1020. Than the wide will be 1920pixel wide and the tall will depend on your taskbar height, single, double or more rows.

I guess you can make it smaller and it will be tile. But, from what I know there is no control on where to tile and where to stretch, something like implemented in Windowblinds taskbar area theming.

Thanks

You can use the Screen Ruler in Microsoft PowerToys to measure your taskbar in pixels. The latest version is 0.75.1 and can be found in the Microsoft Store. You'll have to measure the taskbar length in segments if you're using the rounded taskbar; if not, as basj said,  you can just use the pixel width of your monitor.

I can't believe that I didn't realize this. as it's so obvious now!  Thank you so much..... I have a 4K screen, so will try images that are 3840 pixels wide.  If I run into any additional issues, I will definitely ask.
