Wrong icon display behaviour with Portals only

It happens when a window that is over the portal is thrown back with alt + esc shortcut

Hi, I'm in a trial for the latest version of Fences, lately I've encountered this annoying behaviour when I want to throw the window back using the alt - escape shortcut, when this happens the icons present in the portals bleed through that window causing this weird effect. I use a lot this shortcut as part of my window management routines, and it's kinda of uncomfortable see this icons bubbling on top of the window. Is this a known issue?  (It happens only with portals)

thanks.

Hi Basj, thanks for the reply

To reproduce:

  1. Create A portal of a Folder in documents or dropbox, a folder with at least 4+ files
  2. Position a window, in this case chrome above such portal
  3. press alt - escape shortcut, this will bring that window to the back
  4. The icons of the previously created Portal will bubble up on the window, creating a weird effect as shown in the previous post

System:

Intel 13th Gen, Windows 10

Nvidia 4000 Series Card (Drivers 536.23)

dual 4K displays on "extend desktop" mode

thanks

Need to know your monitor scale factor (100%,200%) please. Also, desktop icons size setting. Large, Medium, Classic icons? Right click on desktop->view->icons size.

Thank you,

I can not reproduce your issue on my Windows 10 system. I followed those steps you outlined. But, the issue did not appear on my system. Maybe my Fences setting is different than yours. Please post screenshot on your Fences setting on Hotkeys and Quick-hide

Thank you,

Hi Bash, the only difference is I don't have the quick-hide on icons to happen automatically, If you disable the "automatically..." settings you will be able to reproduce it. since the hidding will hide also the bubbling icons, I would like to not have them automatically hidden

thanks.

Okay, I see it, and, from my observation. it will be send back if you just click on the Windows appear directly below that Fences. Just to be sure, I have forwarded your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.
