I would like to know how I can make my desktop more functional with respect to the variety of tasks I perform.  Are there examples of how to do such?  I have seen many pages on the Stardock site promoting such functionality and I would like to experience such.  

I would like to be able to select a task and have a desktop open which has all the portals necessary.  It would be useful to have a method to easily switch between different such desktops.  Additionally, after a restart, it would be useful to have the apps open which were last used for each of the desktops as they are invoked as opposed to all at once.  What would be wonderful is to have a status report stated all the desktops and there latest set of running apps and open documents.

I am looking for the magic!

Hello,

I believe, Fences 4 does not have that magic you're trying to do. You can set and manually switch between Fences Desktop pages with different portal Fences in it. But there is no one key switch between those Fences desktop pages. Need a mouse "click and drag" on the desktop to switch between Fences desktop pages or keyboard "alt+arrow" key to do it.
