Start11 With ObjectDock

Start 11 task bar freezes for a several seconds after closing desktop windows

I have been experiencing a task bar freeze that can last between 5 and 10 seconds.
I get no response from start button or any task bar icon.  However, the clicks are queued and are processed after unfreezing.

This has been bugging me for several months whilst trying to trace the cause.

I have finally discovered that the temporary freeze occurs only after closing some desktop windows (e.g. Apps, Web Browsers, File Explorer Windows, etc)

I later discovered that if I exit the ObjectDock Program, Start 11 no longer freezes after closing window.

Could you possibly try to reproduce this behaviour and look into what it is that causes this.

ObjectDock is not compatible with Windows 10 or 11, althogh it's known to work for some users. There are currently no plans for updating ObjectDock.

I can say that I am using Start11 with Objectdock on Windows 11 and I've never experienced the problems you're describing.  They both work just fine for me

No JanOscar, I didn't miss that part.  I was just confirming that they both work together on Windows 11.  You don't have to be an ass

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, as mentioned by Jan, ObjectDock is not compatible with Windows 11. Since you already know ObjectDock is the problem on your system. Please uninstall it from your Windows 11 system.

Thank you.
