Star11: un-grouped icons on Taskbar Enhanced and centered?

Hi

Now that W11 native Taskbar has the option to never combine / group the icons and still remain in centered state, will Star11 Enhanced Taskbar be able to provide this too?

W11 option is still not perfect as when you choose to never combine, it also forces to show the labels, which I think it's not really necessary to be a forced option. Would love Star11 Taskbar to be able to keep it centered, never combine, hide labels.

Thanks

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Which Windows 11 version you're referring to?

Thanks

Hi

Microsoft decided to release some features planned to W11 23H2 ahead of time.

The W11 update that started rolling out yesterday (September 26) updated the W11 22H2 build version to 22621.2361 and already includes some previously predicted changes to be on W11 23H2.

In my case, I got the update yesterday via normal Windows Update (triggered manually - as far I understand the auto-update will start on October 10th):

  • Edition Windows 11 Pro
  • Version 22H2
  • OS build 22621.2361
  • Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22674.1000.0

This already includes the new Taskbar option inside Taskbar Behaviors > Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels.

Start11 already offers a centred mode with uncombined buttons as long as you have 1 or 2 monitors.  3 or more will disable this.

How? The only way I found to select to ungroup buttons is enabling the Enhanced Taskbar, and when I click to use it, there's an alert saying it will alight buttons to the Left, which it does if I proceed.

PS: I only have 1 monitor.

You can control alignment of the start button on the start button page.

Well.. I had no idea that was possible now, as the alert that appears give me the impression that that's the only option.

Thanks.

Is there a way to keep the widget button left aligned with the rest centered, like on the normal taskbar?

I am actually surprised how poorly designed the never combined tabs are on Windows 11's 23h2 / moments 4 update. i.e. all the tabs are different sizes as well. Only MS would overthink something so simple.
