My desktop freezes at times. I am unable to click on any of the desktop icons to launch an app or execute a shortcut. However, the search bar and task bar are still active. After a minute or so, the desktop unfreezes and I can proceed as normal.

I am using Windows 11 on a Lenovo X1.
This problem started about a month ago but I can't put a finger on when.
I attribute the problem to Fences since nothing else is frozen, just the Fences desktop. I can run other programs on other windows or from the search and taskbars.
Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.
