Desktop files under existing fences

I have some fences created on my desktop, and when I save pdf files for example to my desktop for temporary use, they often are hidden under the existing fences.  To find them I have to shift fences out of the way and relocate the saved files.  When I come back the next day, the saved files are often back under the fences.

Is there a way to make the space under a fence a no-go area for other non-fence related desktop icons?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. What you can do is to create a new Fence and assign a Fences rule so that all new icons/program/document that come into your desktop area to move automatically into that new Fence. This will ensure that that new icons/program/etc not appear under another Fence.
