Testing fences

Multimonitor issues + question on rollup

3-screen snipHi,

Testing monitor on a 3-screen setup.   They are organized, according to Windows, as 3-1-2.  2 is the main display.

Item 1

There are several fences on desktop.   When I download any file or copy it from another directory, the object shows on the extreme left monitor, on top (circled on attached.)

Desired behaviour is for it to show up on the main monitor, in this picture the rightmost, number 2.  As above, #2 is the Main monitor.

Item 2

Is there a way to control (slow down) the speed of fence roll-up?

Thank you

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Item1

You can assign all new shortcut/Files/etc send to desktop be auto relocate into a Fence, using Fences Rules. Here how you assign it. You can than move this Fence to any monitor you wish.

Item2

From what I know there is none.

Thanks

Thank you for the quick reply.

What I need is for downloaded files to appear on the right desktop.... forcing these into yet another fence is not optimum for me.

The speed issue is a dealbreaker for me.   I see board comments that it was requested as early as 2013.

I don't think Fences can control where the desktop icons automatically goes. Unless its in a Fence itself.

Thank you for your reply.  It seems that Fences re-composes the desktop, creating this issue on my left-most monitor.   This is not good.
