Fences/Icons not showing after win10 update

On boot up my desktop does not show any icons or fences but simply right clicking alone on the desktop restores them?

This has only happened since an update for Win10 in July 2023.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Need more information on your system.

  1. Windows full version number. Use Winver.exe to get the number.
  2. Fences 3 or 4? And, its version number.

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.
