Install Failed of Fences 4

from Stardock Forums

Failed with error message:

Could not open the uninstall executable for writing;

Access to C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Fences\lua5.1.dll was denied.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Fences\uninstall.exe

File being executed with Run as Administartor privileges was Fences4_setup_ad.exe (File version 4.2.1.2)

Stardock Fences is nopt installed in Windows 11 Programs and Features.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your system.

  1. Your system CPU, Intel, AMD or ARM?
  2. Are you on Corporate Controlled Environment System?

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X. No, we are not on corporate controlled environment system. Start11 installed with latest download fine. It will not upgrade or install Fences after running Purge StartALL. OS is latest build of Windows 11 Pro  Version 23H2 (OS Build 22621.2134).

Please try this, re-download Start11 installer from your account page. https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. It should be "Fences4_setup_sd.exe". Not sure where you get the "Fences4_setup_ad.exe"?

Also you mentioned you ran the purge StartAll for Start11? Why?
