Icons on Desk top

We switched to Windows 11. My desktop icons will move, but I cannot freely move them around on the desktop. Is this a Fence settings or my corporation setting.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. When you said you can not freely move them around the desktop. Have you tried disable the Auto arrange icons and Aling icons to grid?

Thanks

Yes. I can move the icons, but they auto lock into a place. Example, if I move an icon to the middle of the desktop, it will jump to the right side in line with the other icons.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please create a video of this happening. Also show us your Windows 11 full version number and your Fences version number in the video. For Windows use Winver.exe. Post the video on any Video sharing site and post a link here.

Thanks

That sounds like is the auto arrange setting that basj mentioned in his previous post, turn that off if you want them placed somewhere else

Now that I look at it again, it doesn't even seem like you have Fences installed?  (I am not seeing the "lock fences" or "configure Fences" on your context menu.)

Those two settings are Windows settings not Fences settings, so you might be having something else going on
