Taskbar Icons + Quick Launch Menu

Feature suggestions

So, I have been using Start11 for a long time now, and the latest version for Windows 11 is getting netter and better.

However, I have a few feature requests here, that would make the application even better IMO.

Back in Windows XP, 7, 8 and even Windows 10 (I think), it was possible to add a Quick Launch menu to the Taskbar, containing your most used shortcuts:

It would be great to have a similar feature with Start 11, since I find it really annoying that a pinned shortcut icons disappear (replaced with a taskbar button) when the shortcut is clicked and the application is started. Then you have to right-click the taskbar button and click the shortcut to open eg. a new Firefox window - with the risk of hitting "Unpin" or "Close window".

Speaking of "Close window", that menu becomes "Close all windows" when there are multiple application instances running, that is also really risky and annoying, so that is another wish for the wish-list - to make it "Close window" instead.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. From what I know Windows 11 has removed the option to add toolbars. So that is no longer possible in Windows 11. What you can do is to pin all your fav shortcut to your Start11 Start menu instead.

For close all windows. Which Start11 you have installed? I believe if you have installed Start11 V1.47. If you right click on a taskbar button the "Close Window" should appear. Refer screenshot below.

Thanks

Hi Basj,

I think you misunderstood my post - I'm not having any issues - it was meant as a feature suggestion to the Start11 app. :)
