Start11 Window preview stops working

Hi,

I was unable to find any other mention of this issue. I notice that often the window preview on the taskbar (or however it's called), stops working after a while.

The problem seems to occur after turning on and off a secondary monitor, I can re-create the issue 100% of the time.
Turning on the second monitor is fine, but turning it off will cause the previews to stop working.

Running windows 11 Build 22621.1992, If there is any other information I can provide to help let me know.

I believe that Windows refreshes the desktop when you turn a monitor off to move any items from the now turned off monitor to the other, which also moves the mouse from the location you had it at. Does it come back when you hover back over it?

No, it will not show any preview of any window.
Until you restart the explorer.

Please try this, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately (important), reinstall Start11 latest. Reboot again after. Retest and report back.

I did the following action:

Uninstall (did not check remove settings), immediately rebooted, installed the 1.47 beta, input my license (by loging into account), rebooted. Issue remains the same.

I will PM you a video of this issue.

Another thing I tested, If you leave "Let Start11 enhance the taskbar" off. (But use the Start11 start menu)
And then turn a secondary display off the previews will remain functional.

I have this same issue. If I go into Settings > Taskbar, and click "Restart explorer", the previews will show up for a while, but eventually stop showing up again. I can't trace what stops them from showing up.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Which version of Windows 11 you on? Full version number please. Use Winver.exe to get it. Also you on Start11 version?

I am having the same issue on my primary screen. Restart Explorer makes preview work for some time, and secondary monitor with duplicate tastbar works correctly. But primary taskbar fails after some time.

I just noticed this issue occurred when I undocked my laptop from the dual monitor setup. The taskbar on the laptop display no longer shows the previews. When I reconnect to my dock, the previews are still missing on the primary monitor only. They work on the second monitor.
