I am using 4.10. When I open applications like Word, they sometimes open behind my fences. Clicking in between the fences does not bring it to front. The only way to bring it to front is to do an Alt-Tab.
If you could post a video of this happening, that would be fantastic. Also, the current beta version will be going into full release soon, you might want to give that a spin

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Also, check if your setting on Hotkeys->Access Fences instantly with hotkeys->Show Fences (toggle). This function if turned on. You will need to toggle on and off to bring Fences in-front and back.
