Where to put certain skins?

Where to put sertain skins? Hello :I need to know where to put the Windows medea skin and WinAmp skins I just downloaded? Do I put them in an Stardock Object desktop folder that contains a sertain program or do I just put them with the matching theme folders? Thank you Snaken.

Youll need to unzip them into the themes folder for each program. (winamp themes into winamp folder , and windows media themes into windows media folder).

Where would they be? In the original windows folders or the Object Desktop folders? I don't see folders for WinAmp and Windows media in Object Desktop program.

WinAmp, and WMP are not Stardock programs............. look in C:\ Program files.

Go to My Computer........open it up......Hard disk usually C drive.......open it up........Programs.......open it up ....then you will see a list of programs installed on your hard drive........In there you will find a lot of files........one called Winamp and one called Windows Media Player.......in these folders you will find a folder called "skins". This is the folder where you want your unzipped downloads to end up. Now just unzip the zip files and when you are prompted to select a place to put these files chose the "skins" folders i mentioned above. When you have done all this start Winamp and WMP and chose the skin you just added and hey presto it should load. Good Luck

Yes, and as Randy says they are not Object Desktop or Stardock programs hence why you are looking in the wrong place

I build /Mod computers but hate to admit it I don't know much about third party programs.

Whenever I download WMP skins and Winamp skins, they install automatically......

winamp don't anymore because firebird starsts associating all zips with winamp and they get sent to the winamp skins folder. I'ver learnt to deal with it.

Bryan......some do, some dont.......I've got about a dozen Winamp skins and on four of them you have to install the files into the skins folder manually
