Auto hidden Taskbar difficulties

Hi team,

 

I'm a new user of this application - I bought a 5 pack license, in order to install this on my Surface Pro 8 and my desktop PC.  On the Surface Pro 8, I don't have issues with the taskbar, but on my Desktop PC the taskbar will only appear if I move the mouse to the bottom of the screen, over the area where the systray icons are located.  Otherwise, moving the mouse anywhere else at the bottom of the screen, the taskbar will NOT appear.  Also, when pressing the Windows key on my keyboard will ONLY summon the start menu - hovering above the bottom of the screen, with a small gap where the taskbar SHOULD appear (but the taskbar does not appear).

I've tried matching my settings on the desktop to what I have set on the Surface Pro 8, as well as all kinds of different configurations and the problem persists until I uninstall the app.

 

My Windows version is as follows:

 

Edition    Windows 11 Pro
Version    21H2
Installed on    ‎11/‎02/‎2023
OS build    22000.318
Experience    Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22000.318.0

 

Could you please advise?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. First, would like to suggest for you to update your Windows 11 to the latest Standard official release. ie V 22H2.

Also, try these on your desktop pc. Uninstall Start11. Reboot immediately after uninstall finished. Download the latest Start11 version 1.4.3 from your account product page: Install it. Reboot again. Retest and report back.

Thanks for the reply.  I went ahead and updated Windows, though I usually avoid updates, and the problem appears to be resolved.  (I usually only update Windows by formatting and installing the latest version from scratch)
