Missing Icons in Universal Apps Menu

I'm still using Windows 10, but using Start11.

I recently suffered a drive crash, and could not reload any recent backups. I managed to reload an image from 18 months ago, when I was still using Start10.  The problem I am experiencing now is the Universal Apps Menu/List as shown in the screenshot.  Some apps that are installed are missing its icon. These icons is also missing if the app appears on my frequently opened list.

I have tried: uninstalled (using PurgeStartAll.bat) & reinstalled Start10/11, rebooted several times, deleted the StarDock folders from ProgramData & User\AppData\Roaming so it can be recreated, uninstalled & reinstalled the effected apps, searched on these forums for a similar question.

Any ideas are appreciated!
Mike

Thank you for your assistance. I followed the steps from your link, but this did not help. In fact, I lost a few more icons. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Does the icons appear when you use Windows 10 default Startpanel?

Yes, everything displays properly with the app icons when I switch back to the standard win10 start menu

If you have not try it, please try uninstall Start11, reboot immediately after uninstall finished (important), download again latest version. Install it. Reboot again. Retest and report back.

After doing these steps, I'm sorry to report no change.  If interested, I tried the Windows 10 style of Start11. Below are screen shots of the default Win10 menu and next screenshot shows Start11's Win10 menu.  You will notice the lack of a few icons.

I cannot help but notice your Microsoft edge tile is blank with the default Windows 10 menu which is curious.

Do you have the experimental tile option enabled in Start11?

Also do the apps with missing icons actually work if launched.  If yes do the launched ones still have broken icons after a reboot?

@basj Thank You for your help

@Neil I am not able to find the setting for experimental tile to see if it is on or off.  Where is it located?

The apps do launch ok (no icon after reboot).  But curiously, a few of these apps (that are missing icons) will show the appropriate icon in the taskbar and some will not (just a blank square where it should be, with a line underneath indicating a open app).

I performed a cleanboot and attempted to run the .bat from StartStart10_11.zip. However an error appears as shown in the following screenshot. So I manually started Start11 from services.msc.  After the service has started, I checked the start menu, sadly the results are the same.
