Group - Rearranges the window when an email is opened

Hi Team,

The grouped window changes the windows position / size after an email is opened from the exchange client. This is pretty consistent.

Steps to reproduce - group Outlook client + notepad + other apps -> double click to open email outside the client app -> entire window changes the position/shape.

The OS is  Windows 11 home edition.

Can you please assist.

Regards,
Sanjay

Hi Basj,

One one occasions it works with certain apps and then it messes with the window. There are plenty of personal info on the desktop however I will find a best way to record and send it you. In the meantime are you able to reproduce at your end... The following tools are running to divide my windows in the first instance - Using FencyZones from Microsoft Power Toys https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/.

Cheers,
Sanjay

Hello,

I can not reproduce your issue on my Win10 system. For personal reason I cannot show you a video of it. What I did.

  1. Group Outlook 365+Notepad(empty)+Calculator. FencyZones : Power toys is active.
  2. Double click to open email on my outlook.
  3. Email open up its own tab within that same Groupy tabs group.
  4. Whole Windows of that group did not move.
  5. Below screenshot of the opened email in the group.

Unfortunately, I can't test it on Windows 11. However, I have forward your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

Hi  Basj,

I suggest when you group them on the desktop, please split the monitor into various zones i.e., split one screen into 3 windows (using either Windows 11 feature or using PowerToys FencyZones. Once you've make multiple screen zone, then try and you'll find that the grouped windows will resize itself.

Sanjay

Please note the window on the left side which re-arranges itself (might be worth focusing on the top bar).
