Windows 11 menu not working after updating to Start11 1.4.1.1!

On the 10th of March I've installed the Start11 1.4.1.1 update. After that I've noticed my start Menu isn't working anymore, I can open it but al the buttons are frozen and I can't type anything to search for. Also, when I set the option: "Use the Start11 Menu" to "Off" in "Start Menu", it seems nothing happens.

I would like to revert to version 1.4.1.0 or earlier asap. Where can I find the installer for this?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. There might be something wrong when installing the update. Try this, uninstall Start11. Reboot immediately after (important). Download again the installer for the latest version. Reinstall that, reboot immediately again after. Retest and report back.

Thanks

Hi Basj, thank you for the quick response!

I'm afraid to do this, to be honest. I've just restored my system from a Windows restore point of 10 March, and it is now working okay. Start11 is on version 1.39.1 now.

With the latest update the whole middle section of the task bar (between the search box, weather icon etc. and the system tray icons) was gone while starting Windows, and it eventually came back after loading for a while. But the Start menu wasn't working anymore.

I'm on Windows 11 Version 22H2 x64 with KB5022913 as the latest quality update.

It sounds like you ran into the issue when using the searchbox option on the taskbar which is new in KB5022913 and an issue in the 1.4x builds.

This is resolved in the beta 1.42 build which is currently only available from a link on the forums but should move over to proper beta release this coming week.  An alternative way around it would have been to disable the searchbox on the taskbar.
