Just updated today -- Windows 11. Right-click any icon in any fence, select Open file location.
Fences pops up an error box, says "Are you sure you want to remove this fence? Your files will not be deleted."
Umm, that's not right.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please include more details on your system. Windows full version number. Use Winver.exe. And you are on Fences V4.10.06?

Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.1265). Fences just updated itself today, so if it's not 4.10.06, something is wrong with your updating system. It says 4.10 in the About box.
I can't reproduce your issue on my system. Windows 11 22H2 (OS Build 22621.1344).
Have you try rebooting your system? And, Just as a test go to your Desktop folder. C:\Users\xxxxx\Desktop (xxxxx=your account name). Right click on any shortcut, select open file location. Does it open up normally?
