I've nailed down the win 11 update that breaks Groupy

and it's Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.22624.1391 (ni_release)

Hi, sorry if this should be under an existing thread but I know exactly what broke Groupy, at least for me: "Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.22624.1391 (ni_release)." I installed it on 3/5/2023; I can't swear that that's its release date because it might have sat waiting for my attention for a day or three. Being a "feature update" vs. a "quality update," it doesn't have a KB designation that I can see, just the name string I stated. Groupy worked like a charm until I installed this, and now not at all for anything I've tried it with. It's killing me just to alt-tab between chrome and settings to get this info to you. Hope this will help somehow! If you can't send a link to a patch or update, please send rum. Thanks!

Unfortunately we do not offer support for Microsoft Windows insider builds.

From the build number that sounds like the beta channel which Microsoft do not offer support for either.

I suspect it will resolve itself with the next Microsoft update but until then if this is causing you problems I would recommend rolling back the insider build to the previous one.

Oh, very well then. I'm seeing reports here about Windows 11 breaking Groupy and thought it might be helpful to add my account and specify the iteration apparently at fault, to add to the shared info, and esp since I might not be the only "Windows Insider" on this board. I was thinking of your long twilight struggle with MS breaking the taskbar over and over, and you guys revising Start 11 to keep up.

I'm aware that I can roll it back; thanks for the tip.

It is useful to know certainly but if the issue were to be specific to that build supporting it wouldn't make sense especially as Groupy 1 does not officially support Windows 11 at all and those beta builds tend to be very buggy so issues come and go.

There is another possibility that it is an antivirus app involved somehow as they can break apps.

We will be checking next week just in case there is an issue on public versions of Win 11 in case we need to flag a bug with Microsoft.

Sounds good! Yeah they don't call them "beta" but it's pretty clear that's what these builds are, by definition. Maybe delta? Gamma? Anyway not always ready for prime time. I think I'm supposed to tell them about any problems, I mean issues, so I'm gonna let them know about this one. Seems only fair: if they broke it, they fix it. Pottery barn rules. Thanks very much!

One more thing if I may--You said "Groupy 1 does not support Windows 11." I don't see any other groupy on your site than the one unnumbered Groupy! And my Object Desktop says mine is up to date. Is there perhaps another Groupy version around, or on the way? If so, any way I can qualify for a look at it please? (I won't tell anyone.) Thanks again.
