Uninstall on one computer and re-install on another computer

Cannot Create Fences on newly installed Fences 3

Hi,

I use Fences at work. I want to uninstall my copy of Fences on one computer and reinstall it on another computer. So, I uninstalled it from the one computer - it failed because it said some DLL was running, but I couldn't find it in task manager and so couldn't fully uninstall Fences 3 on the computer.

I installed Fences 3 on the other computer and activated it. I go to Create a Fence and the option is not accessible. (It's just text on the dialog, not an active selection.)

How do I get the Create a Fence selection to be active? (I've already rebooted the computer and tried again - no luck...)

Please help!

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. First, please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

From your screenshot. That red box that you marked. That will never create a Fence for you, if you click on them. Those are there just to show you how to create a Fence. Just a guide of "How to". As mention there. You will need to left click and drag your mouse on your desktop to make a rectangle and a popup will appear asking you if you wish to create Fences there and which type of Fence you would like to create. Have you tried those?
