Fence folders cannot be moved around
When I am not using the Windows computer, Fence moves to the primary screen. Then, when I am back, the Fence folders cannot be moved around.
Stardock will be closed for the week starting on Monday, June 29th and we will be returning on Monday, July 6th. We will be monitoring support tickets and forums during this time but expect delays in responses during this time.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please check if Fences is not locked. If it is, unlock it and try again.

Thanks

Fences are not locked. The only way I can move around is after I restart the computer. But, it takes too much time to close all open files and folders, restart, then open them again.
This keeps happening when I don't use the Windows 11 computer for some hours.
Try restarting Explorer.exe. Here a few way you can restart Explorer.exe : https://www.howtogeek.com/198815/use-this-secret-trick-to-close-and-restart-explorer.exe-in-windows/

Hi Basj. I restarted PC. Now, Fences don’t show the Fence title bars as on the screenshot.
An error message came up – “Fences does not appear to be loaded. You may need to reinstall Fences.”
If I uninstall and reinstall Fences, I am worried if I will lose all my added Windows folders/files shortcuts to Fence folders.
I haven’t received an answer from Stardock Support Team to my post below - I added Windows folders/files “shortcuts” to Fence folders. Is there any way to back up without using Snapshots, so I can back up and use those actual shortcuts later? https://forums.stardock.com/516499/page/1/#3876181
If you still see those shortcut on your desktop while that popup appear. That probably mean that shortcuts is within your desktop folder. If it on Portal Fences that it will not appear on your desktop. But those shortcut should still be inside those folder you linked to those portal fences you have before.
Also, do take note Fences 4.0.7.2 have reported issue with Shortcuts that linked to Network drive or Share folders/drive.
To test it out use this guide https://forums.stardock.com/514583/get;3875625 (Reply#47)
