Fences cover icons that are not in the fence

Fences cover icons that are not in the fence. The icons do not move when a fence is dragged over them. This is on a Surface Pro running Windows 11. How do I fix this issue?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. It is best to have all icons inside a Fence so that Fences have control over it. What you can do it setup a temporary Fences that have a Fences rule where all new icons coming into desktop will automatically move into that Fence. You can than move that icon to any permanent Fences of your choice. Refer screenshot below on how to setup Fences rule.

Thanks

I had Windows 10 with the desired behaviors: the desktop icons are pushed away from the fences and are not covered by the fences. Now I installed the same Fences version 4.22 on a new laptop with the same Windows Enterprise Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045 and cannot get this behavior. All the settings seem the same. The only difference I know about is that the new Fences are in the trial mode, are not licensed yet.

What am I missing?

Thanks.
