Explorer.exe always crash when I use Fence

Hi, first of all, sorry for my english.

 

I'm making this post today because I've been using Fences since Fences 2 and I've always liked it but since a few months when I use Fences 4.0.7.2 on my computer with Windows 11 version 22H2, Explorer.exe stops working and has to restart before I can use Fences, and a few minutes later it's back for another round. My wife is using Fences 3 on her PC with the same version of windows 11 so I guess it comes from Fences 4 and I would like to know if you have had this problem and if you have any solutions. 

I use a ratio of 100%, the animations are activated and the hardware acceleration too.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

I had already tried to uninstall Fences by purging everything to install it properly again but it did not change anything.

However I decided to sort out my Fences and it turns out that it was a Portal Folder that was crashing everything else. Indeed, I had a portal to another computer on my local network in order to be able to transfer files easily and quickly, and when I removed this Portal Folder all the problems disappeared. I apologize for the inconvenience and hope that my mistakes can be used to help others. I wish you a nice day and let you close this post.
