Fences 4

can' t make fences

from Stardock Forums

On Windows 10 22H2 I installed Fences 4, put in E-mail adress and Product Key. Then I update it.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Fences\Fences.exe" /FromDesktop tells me:

"Fences is activated with left and right mouse but can' t make fences. " Sorry, I can't

Right click on desktop. There I see (in german): "Fences aktivieren". If I Click on this - no change, still "Fences aktivieren".

What I can do, any idea?

Important: If I reinstall it, do i loose the registration? Do I need an new Product Key?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. First, please check if Fences is set to start twice in your taskbar manager: Refer to this guide: https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#FencesStartUP. Check that and report back.

On, re-installation, no, you do not need new product key. The key should work on the same system. In rare occurrence it don't work, you can deactivate the old activation and reactivate it again using the same key. The re-installation without deleting the old instation solved the problem. No need for a new key.
