Start Menu Tiles disappearing

Backup/restore

Is there a way to back up/restore the Start Menu tile settings?  I ask because every time I run an MS Office repair, all the Office tiles disappear from the Win 10 Start Menu.

I guess the first question is why are you running a MS office repair so often?

I imagine that unpins the apps from the start menu which is why Start11 removes the links.

When you run the Office "Online Repair," the Office Suite is first uninstalled which also removes the shortcuts from the Start Menu, both the Windows and Start11 Start menus, and then the Office Suite is reinstalled. If you look in the All Apps section of the Start menu, you will see the "NEW" badge attached to all the Office apps. You can try using a backup as described above, but it is probably better to re-pin the Office apps from the All Apps section.

I also wonder why it is necessary to repair Office so often?

Thanks.  This was what I was looking for.  I wasn't sure where in the registry the settings were stored.  I modified the batch file to save the backup in my normal registry backup folder.  Worked great.

I have had other tiles disappear for various reasons.  It is a great time saver to have a backup restore option.

A complex MS Access app running VBA code on numerous SharePoint lists and pages sometimes runs into compatibility issues that can corrupt the Office application.  Especially when testing new code.  While a repair is not done "often", it is still annoying to reset all the tiles manually.  I understood why they disappeared.  I simply wanted an easy way to restore the setup.
