I purchased OD when I was running Win10, approximately a year and a half ago. It has since lapsed as I am not working and have no form of income to use to renew at this time. I am now running Win11 and my Product Key works independently for certain apps such as Start11, CursorFX, etc.
However, I have recently downloaded and installed WB 11. Upon trying to activate using my current product key, I get the message; "Unable to activate WinowBlinds. Please try again or Contact Support". (Error Code: -205). Activation Troubleshooting states that this has something to do with the Computer Name using non-Western characters or symbols in it. How can I tell if my Computer Name (JimmyD1) has non-Western characters or symbols in it?
Apparently it can be downloaded though OD provided the user has the setting to "Include Beta Versions" checked.
My question is two-fold. According to what I read in the FAQ for OD, if I install that, and subsequently DL WB from there, will WB activate automatically using installed said Product Key? Or, am I correct in assuming that I will not be able to activate WB 11 until I am able to either renew my current key or purchase a new one?
