Key strokes on secondary laptop are random

Hi

Updated windows today and now have random characters on secondary pc, I can press one keyboard button and get different keys each time. I have 100% reinstalled windows on the secondary pc and t first it appeared ok, but has now reverted to random characters.

Multiplicity 3.57 Build 00103. Windows 10 pro on both laptops. Has worked for years, but no longer.

Appreciate some urgent assistance!

Thanks

Garry

What antivirus package do you have?

There is one out there which has a module which 'protects' web browsers by stopping MP from being able to get correct keyboard data when the browser has focus and returns random gibberish instead.  This has an option somewhere to turn it off.

Hi Neil, am using ESET Nod 32 antivirus have been for years, but interestingly that was also updated yesterday.

Will have  a look, thanks for the tip.

Neil

Thanks very much, not sure exactly what I turned off, but is related to banking protection, a new "feature"

I never gave the AV a second thought but that has been the culprit, glad I wasted time reinstalling windows!!

Thanks
