Forlder portal cannot update or refresh autometically for non C drive folders

I'm using folder portals for my download folder and onedrive folder. Both folders are in my E drive. The folder portals don't update when there is a new document. I tested with folders in my C drive, it updates automatically. But I don't want my folders eats up all my C drive space. I've seen other people having the same issue https://forums.stardock.com/495792/folder-portals-not-refreshing-automatically, but this post did not have a solution.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I have no issue on my system with portal fences link to my folders on my D drive. May I know which version of Windows you're on? Use Winver.exe to get the number. Also, you on Fences version?

Thanks

Hi,

This is the win10 version I'm using. And I'm using Fences version 4.0.7.2 now. The same situation happened to me when I was using Fence 3 before (I cant recall which Fence 3 version I used).

Thank you very much!

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Hi, I have tried to rearrange my monitor cable connections as mentioned but it seems it didn't work. The icons still moving across screens. And the folder portals somehow not automatically refresh/update after I used for a few days. Probably after I restart my computer...

Just to be clear, this is icons swapping or the Fences relocate itself into another monitors issue?

Thank you,

The Fences relocate itself into other monitors. All fences and folder portals are still the same but move to another monitor (except their sizes change according to the monitor resolutions).

Thank you!

I read the posts about edit XML code in the forums. But I don't understand what to do. There is no step-by-step instruction for it. I don't know where to find the XML file that needed to be edited.

Ask in that thread as this is a different subject than your initial post.
