App switching Latency / frequency switching app on toolbar - can tell it's delayed

I recently installed Stardock Start11 version 1.3 and when I select apps from the toolbar or move from window to window there's considerable amount of latency in the process. This happens frequently and I am a person who has a bunch of items running on the machine at one. I use this tool on my personal machine and this one is for work. I try to avoid the grouping of those apps I have running on the machine, because my company obligates, I use 11(work at MSFT). Any thoughts on how I can speed up the processing of the Start11 to keep up with my frequent switching or selecting apps on the tool bar?
