Icons have gone MISSING after update

Hey Guys,

It took me forever to setup my tiles and after I have updated the latest version of Start11, most of my icons are now not showing... this is a big isssue... why it doesn't auto-acquire icons logo after update (or in general). The iccons that are missing are now also missing in the windows bar and in the tile section (see screenshot)

Generally speaking if all those icons have gone missing it points to an icon cache issue.

The easy way to tell is what do those icons look like using the OS start menu?

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

If you control-click the Start11 menu, I gather the native Start menu shows them correctly, yes?

In Start11, if you click any of the broken ones, does it run \ open it?

Does this also last past a reboot?

Hey Guys,

The issue still happen after a reboot indeed. On the taskbar itself, the icon (when they are open - with the text) shows the proper icon but not when they are close (without the text).

When i ctrl+click and have the windows menu, i tried with ADOBE and WONDERSHARE and everything run fine and the icone shows properly.

Thanks

I was able to resolve my icon issues by: Right Clicking the icon, More \ Open file location. Then open the properties of each program that has missing icons on Start11, click Change Icon, selecting the same icon from the selection, and hit ok. Reboot to verify. You should be able to fix them all from the same File Explorer window that opens. I hope this helps.

Hi did you manage to resolve the issue i have the same problem. Tried all sorts with regards to rebuilding icon cache etc but i dont think the issue is with this. Windows start menu icons are fine.
