Start11 - Windows 11 22h2 update completely breaks

What a disaster. When my computer rebooted after upgrading to Windows 11 22h2, my taskbar was completely messed up and unusable--no start menu, no system tray. Please see this image:

I couldn't even open the start menu using the keyboard button. I tried disabling functions of Start11 in the settings, but nothing would fix it. I had to find out the keyboard shortcut to open Windows settings (win-i) just to be able to uninstall Start11 so I could use my computer again.

Is Stardock working on fixing Start11 compatibility with 22h2?

Also, why isn't there an option in Start11 settings to disable the entire app? That way, people could get around issues like this without resorting to uninstalling the whole program.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try, uninstall, reboot immediately, reinstall and retest.

To disable Start11 there is a program, installed together when you install Start11 named, Start10tweak.exe. (C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start11). I do believe it also work for Start11. You can disable and unload Start11 using those button.

This is not normal for Start11 and it should be working just fine on 22H2.

What version of Start11 exactly were you using?

Can't do that with Start 11. You can disable it from the similar config screen, but I believe it's still running for the taskbar enhancements.

You on Windows 11? I tested on Windows 10 and it still unload Start11 for me.

added: Yes, tested on my Win11 VM, my guess still need to disable taskbar enhance function.

Thank you,

I assume the latest version because I just bought and installed it a week ago.

Just wanted to report that I reinstalled Start11 and it seems to be back to normal now. The Windows update break was a bad experience, but at least it seems to be working now.
