Secondary Computer Screen will not expand to fit monitor

Everything looks fine when running in windowed mode, but I cannot get a window to open in fullsize, it doesn't stretch to fit the monitor.  I've tried various configuration tweaks.  I'm a new user, have I not configured it correctly?  I set a default to stretch remote screen contents to fit local screen resolution.

OK, I found that my monitor settings had been reset, so by resetting the secondary computer display settings I now have a full widescreen view of the secondary computer, but I cannot resize windows inside of it by clicking and dragging as you would normally.  The working window is either very small or very big unless I right-click and size each window using the windows dialog box.  Not a deal-breaker, but odd behavior.
