Start11 Taskbar with dual monitors failing
I've been having a couple of likely related intermittent issues the last few months that have been very frustrating. I suspect they stem from my monitor setup making it somewhat of an edge case but I don't think it's so unusual a setup. I have to imagine someone else has run into this.
Setup: I have two 4K monitors and sometimes use Windows Remote Desktop to do some work on a second PC. I have thought the issues were due to using Remote Desktop but it also seems to happen with anything I make full screen. I think the crux the problem has to do with the 4K monitors and maybe Windows default scaling (150% as recommended)?
The Problems:
1) Very often, one of the two taskbars will be off the screen, thrown about halfway across the second monitor instead of being at the bottom of the first monitor where it should be. It still responds (unhiding) when I move my cursor down to where it should be, but it pops up starting at about the middle of monitor 2 and extending off the screen. If I press the windows key, it will sometimes return to monitor 1 as normal and stay there until I use something else full screen that aggravates it. Not everything seems to for some reason.
2) Sometimes when waking the computer it will warn me that I already have a taskbar hidden and it seems to disable my setting to auto-hide the taskbar. So I then have to open the taskbar options, select the menu section and turn it back on. I would really prefer the setting to just always force it to auto-hide. I don't know understand what the error implies it thinks is happening. Is it counting some nonexistent third task bar and trying to auto-hide it?
I get these issues at least once a day and it's become very frustrating. I would appreciate any thoughts on what might solve this.
